Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina (or Antonia) Shevchenko competes as Antonina Shevchenko is a Kyrgyzstani Muay Thai fighter for the UFC's flyweight division. She's older than fellow UFC Fighter and the former UFC Flyweight Champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko began her professional journey as a Muay Thai kickboxer. She debuted in 2003, at the IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko was the winner at the event and beat Suzane Milliner with a unanimous verdict. Antonina kept her winning streak going by taking home bronze and silver medal in 2008 and 2007 respectively, as well as a Gold medal in 2011, along with the title of year-end 2016 IFMA amateur world champion. Antonia began her professional career in 2003. She was the winner of the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship in 2012 the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship in 2016, and also the WMC as well as the Phoenix FC World Championships in the year 2016. Antonina's most recent fight took place against Isa Tiedblad Keskikangas, who was fighting at the Phoenix Fighting Championship. The victory was a unanimous one. Antonina shevchenko recorded her debut professional MMA fight in 2002, against Anara bayanova at the KFK Cup in Kyrgystan. She won this fight by TKO at the end of round 2. Her subsequent 2 matches were held at the WXF X-Impact World Championships. Shevchenko went on a hiatus from MMA in order to concentrate on her kickboxing and made her comeback with Anissa Haddaoui during Phoenix FC 3 in 2017. Shevchenko was victorious against Anissa Haddaoui in an unanimous decision. She then beat Valerie Domergue, at Phoenix FC 4, in a unanimous decision. She joined Dana White Contender Series 2018 after leaving the promotion. Shevchenko fought Jaimelene Nievera at Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina demonstrated her slashing skills by knocking out Nievera with knees. Antonina's UFC contract was re-extended following this victory. Antonina Shevchenko made her UFC debut in the TUF Heavy Strikes Finale in the fight against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko defeated Roxanne Modafferi by a split-decision fight, after prevailing in the initial fight via an unanimous decision. Antonina bounced right back after losing and defeated Lucie Pudddilova at UFC on ESPN Covington-Lawler by rear-naked submission during the second round. The bout earned Antonina the prize of Fight of The Night. Shevchenko went 1-2 during her subsequent three bouts, defeating Ariane Lipski, and then falling to Katlyn Chookagian, and Andrea Lee. Antonina has recently been knocked down by a TKO in round two to Casey O'Neill, at UFC Fight Night Santos Vs. Walker.
