Kim Delaney (born Kim Delaney) is an American actor best recognized for her role as detective Diane Russell in ABCs NYPD Blue in which she earned the Emmy Award. Her other credits include her roles in the drama series All My Children Philly CSI: Miami and Army Wives. Delaney was the sole child of her homemaker mother and an executive in her union, the United Auto Workers. Delaney spent most of her childhood with 4 brothers. Although she was a child with a goal of becoming journalist, it wasn't until the time of her high school days that she began modeling. Following her move from New York City and gaining experiences in commercials at New York did she achieve the career as aspiring court reporters. Her first role acting was when she was a young, innocent girl in the show All My Children. Delaney was a talented young actress from the 1980s has appeared in several films TV movies and dramas. Her career hasn't been satisfying or happy life in her personal. The accomplished actor has been battling alcoholism and has had two marriages that failed. In 2005 she lost the custody of her sole son.
