Aurora Aksnes is a Norwegian Singer and Songwriter. Born in Stavanger on June 15th, 1996. Her professional name is Aurora. The name of her can be also stylized as AURORA. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves has been released by Decca Records and was well reviewed by various music websites. Half the World Away from the band Oasis was made for an ad campaign for John Lewis, and Nature Boy is an Nat King Cole cover. Katy Perry shared a tweet where Perry announced her new song Runaway. It was her birthday celebration. Aurora Aksnes first musical memory was when she discovered a keyboard within her loft and being fascinated by its music. Jan Oystein Aksnes was her father. He urged her not to play music only for pleasure or to aid in growth but rather, she was encouraged to take it seriously. Thus, she began writing her own songs. Bjork and Leonard Cohen are among her favorite songwriters. Her mother had told her that her songs could not only help her gain fame, but also make others see their value in the world and realize the possibilities for her songs She decided to start singing in public. The piano was first played by her when she was six years old and began writing music when she was nine. It wasn't until her 14th birthday that she revealed her plans to her parents. Aurora's success was never her goal. She claims that she enjoys writing songs. She believes that music can help any person feel better.
